Sony DVW-M2000 - Digital Betacam Recorder/Player

The DVW-M2000 Digital Betacam Recorder/Player is the redesigned successor to the DVW-A500. It is 4 RU tall, weighs less, and consumes less power, gives longer head life, and includes composite analogue video input as a standard feature. It will also play back all of Sony's 1/2 inch SD tape formats (Betacam, Betacam SP, Betacam SX, MPEG IMX and Digital Betacam.

Sony HDW-M2000 - HDCAM Studio Editing Recorder

Plays Digital Betacam, Betacam/SP, Betacam SX, MPEG IMX. Records and plays HDCAM at frame rates: 1080/23.98, 1080/24, 1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97PsF, and 25 PsF (note: Pulldown output is not available in this model). Built-in up-conversion of playback-compatible Standard Definition tapes to 1080i and down-conversion of HDCAM tapes to 480i is a standard feature. Metadata handling, UMID (Unique Material Identifier Data) record capability, and simplified menu setups and firmware upgrades via Memory Stick media. Capable of handling Dolby-E and AC-3 audio.
