root6 Launches 'Tech Breakfasts'
A new forum for engineers to explore emerging technologies
Broadcast Live/Video Forum, London Jan 30… Soho-based root6 is launching ‘Tech Breakfasts’ - a series of breakfast meetings for broadcast and postproduction engineers to examine how IT expertise in managing high speed data can benefit the modern facility.
The first, scheduled for March 4, will look at the issues for those contemplating the move to 10 Gigabit Ethernet Infrastructure. Further breakfasts will examine clustered storage and asset management.
The Soho-based sessions will consist of a brief introduction followed by a round table discussion chaired by David Austerberry, editor of the world edition of ‘Broadcast Engineering.’
