root6 Provides Single-Stop Solution for PPC
London UK November 13… The Picture Production Company (PPC) is the largest specialist feature film marketing agency outside North America. Founded nearly 30 years ago, PPC has expertise in all areas of feature film promotion including trailers, TV & radio commercials and DVD production.
Originally an Avid house, PPC now has the flexibility of dual platform operation with the introduction of Apple-based systems.
Recently the company expanded and updated its post production facilities, choosing root6 as a one-stop-shop for equipment, installation and support.
Three additional FCP seats were supplied by root6, together with a 16TB upgrade to the Apple Xsan. A new 16TB Avid Unity Storage Area Network was also provided and two Avid systems upgraded to create Nitris DX suites. The expansion provides PPC with ten FCP and seven Avid suites.
Additional fibre channel cabling was installed by root6’s Systems Integration arm in the Master Control Room to accommodate the increased capacity and all Avid and Apple systems will benefit from root6 Gold Level support.
