root6 Ramp Up SAN Support
London UK November 13 2008…The technical support arm of reseller root6 is experiencing escalating levels of interest in its range of support products catering from individual systems up to facility-wide and multi-site contracts.
Increasingly root6 is providing support for multiple clients on Storage Area Networks in Avid, Terrablock, and Apple Xsan environments. Recently Red Bee Media and Nickelodeon renewed their Xsan support contracts for a second year while broadcaster Five signed for a third year running.
One of the key advantages for Xsan users is the custom scripting developed by root6 product specialists to manage and diagnose SAN performance to optimise system throughput.
Explaining the decision to renew its Xsan support contract Five’s Chief Technology Officer for broadcast services Chris Anning said, “It’s a great comfort to be able to continue to rely on the detailed expertise, knowledge and skillset of root6 to support our Xsan deployment”.
root6 has considerable experience in the design and implementation of SANs in the broadcast and post environment. And, subject to an on-site evaluation, root6 is able to support SANs it did not originally install.
