We're excited to announce that root6 has formed a
partnership with Ardis Technologies to become the sole UK
reseller of their Dynamic Drive Pool - an innovative series
of products set to revolutionise the world of storage.
What's the big deal?
Dynamic Drive Pool uses Ardis Technologies' AVFS/iSCSI
(SCSI over Ethernet) system to create a storage solution
with SAN speed and NAS functionality.
All video, film and audio post production
applications can share and exchange project and media data
from one single box using standard Ethernet, with a data
rate equivalent to 4 uncompressed SDI streams over one GbE
connection. This is approximately 3x higher then any NAS
based solution and a much cheaper
alternative to fibre channel SANs.
