Are you ready for IMF?
The Interoperable Master Format, is an emerging SMPTE specification governing file formats and metadata for digital media archiving and B2B exchange. Initially pioneered jointly by studios and streaming retailers, IMF is designed to simplify the creation of downstream distribution packages by the standard interchange of interoperable master files and associated metadata. The business benefits should be significant and include time and cost savings with automated packaging and delivery, the minimizing of required storage and a simplification of post production transcodes.
Gain valuable technical knowledge and understand the business benefits of this important delivery format at a two-day seminar at BAFTA. Led by SMPTE IMF Group engineers and international IMF training facility Mesclado, the seminar provides a unique opportunity to examine existing IMF solutions and planned future developments.
