Integration Services
Our Systems Integration arm provides a variety of services to customers seeking to get the best performance from technical installations:
Fibre optics
We're
currently running two Tritec FaseKit II fusion splicers which can
terminate both single-mode (WAN) and multi-mode (LANs & SANs) in all
standards (OM1 and the newer 10-gig OM3 standards). Fusion splicing
is the best way of terminating fibre and we have years of experience
in this field now.
Technical Audit
See if your facility
measures up to current or anticipated requirements. We can audit our
own fibre or Ethernet installs for performance or inspect existing
systems.
For testing fibre we have two multi-mode test sets - an OWL and a KC-optics. We can also test/certify single-mode with an OWL tester. For Ethernet networks we have the industry standard Fluke DTX-1800 for testing/certifying cat5/5e/6/6a & the newest cat7 (ten gig over copper cable).
PAT
The Electricity at Work Regulations requires the implementation
of a systematic and regular program of maintenance, inspection and
testing. We can help in this area and can provide Portable
Appliance Testing (PAT) to Industry Standards using a
Martindale PAT 2100 mains electrical safety tester for all
single-phase mains safety testing.
Monitor calibration
Colourimetry is a tricky business but it's extremely important.
Poor colour accuracy can ruin jobs and lose clients. We have
invested in the expertise and the necessary measurement technology
to get facility monitoring as close to standard as possible.
We can visit your facility to calibrate a single or do them all in one hit and, if you're finishing for television or film, we can make it a regular part of your maintenance schedule.
General calibration
Our BBC64 camera calibration 'chip chart' will help you keep your
SD & HD television cameras in check whilst our arsenal of
oscilloscopes and DVMs can tackle all the usual electronic
diagnosis/maintenance tasks.
