Platform1 2016 - "Can I make money out of VR?"

5th & 6th-7th July

For Platform1 2016 we've decided to change the format slightly and will be focusing on a single hot topic, Virtual Reality, and are very excited to have respected VR guru, Lucas Wilson, on-board to share his vast experience in this field.

The event will be split into two sections:

Tuesday 5th July - FREE to attend

AM - A tour of the VR ecosystem. The various large and small companies, what they are doing, where they are going, and how quickly they will get there.

PM - Tools and tool-set overview. From acquisition to delivery. Cameras, platforms, tools, mastering, and delivery.

6th-7th July - 2 day, advanced course - £120 per participant

Wed 6th AM - Camera overview. Different rigs and methods. How, and why. A quick test shoot with a few different rigs.

Wed 6th PM - Stitching overview. Taking some material from the AM, do a quick technical stitch, and then go over dailies and review pipeline.

Thurs 7th AM - Editorial. Setting up a system for VR editorial, and loading test footage.

Thurs 7th PM - Audio and Delivery. Doing VR audio for different platforms, then publishing to Facebook360, YouTube360, MilkVR, and Jaunt.

We're confirming the venue and will provide more details and open registration in next months newsletter.  However, we expect this to be a very popular event so if you'd like to be given the opportunity to get priority booking please email
